Launching the Contest of Green Consumer Innovation to Reduce Plastic Pollution

The contest aims to seek, honor, and promote exemplary green consumer innovations that have a high ability to be widely and effectively applied in practice. It encourages and promotes good ideas and models of green and smart consumption among all segments of the population, specifically young people, contributing to the conservation and utilization of Vietnam's natural resources and sustainable development for a better future.
In addition, the contest also contributes to raising awareness and responsibility of the community towards sustainable green consumption and environmental protection in the context of international economic integration. It also advocates for the participation of individuals and organizations in environmental protection in general and green consumption and plastic pollution reduction in particular. Besides, tt diversifies and contributes to the innovation, quality improvement, and effectiveness of plastic waste reduction activities through smart consumption.

The Youth Union of MONRE has launched the "Contest of Green Consumer Innovation to Reduce Plastic Pollution".
Particularly, creative ideas and models of smart green consumption play a crucial role in reducing single-use plastic products, promoting reuse, recycling, and exploring environmentally friendly solutions. They create valuable achievements and serve as inspiration for individuals, organizations, and communities participating in the contest, contributing to building a sustainable future, a clean environment, and good development opportunities for the country.
The contest is open to individuals and groups of Vietnamese nationals currently living, working, or studying in Vietnam. The participating innovations should be presented in Vietnamese and encouraged to provide relevant information and materials (images, video clips, etc.) to clarify the innovation. The innovations can address various green consumption and plastic pollution reduction topics without limits of any specific environmental resource protection fields.
The Organizing Committee will accept submissions until October 10, 2023 (according to the postmark). Participants should send their entries to the following address: Resource and Environment Communication Center, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, Block E2, Cau Giay New Urban Area, Duong Dinh Nghe Street, Yen Hoa Ward, Cau Giay District, Hanoi.
According to the plan, the Organizing Committee intends to award 6 prizes, including 1 first prize, 2 second prizes, and 3 third prizes./.
